Release Update

There’s an update for ‘With a Strong-willed Marchioness, Prince Yandere’s Offensive’ this week. Sexy time officially commenced! It’s my first time translating R-18. I have translated this chapter many months ago, I tried my best to edit the sentences as best as I can, (now that I know a little better) but overall, no editor was used, so tread at your own caution.

Also, even though this isn’t my original writing, (I’m just the translator) I find it difficult to condense the sentences, (at least here) and ‘write’ about sex/smut. Maybe it’s my first time, maybe because the author repeat herself so much, (in another chapter, the amount of “気が付けば” (before I knew/realised it) in quick succession made me wanna stab something) it got a bit frustrating to clean up. You may ask, why do I need to clean up? Why don’t I just translate as is? Well, literal translation to English from a language like Japanese (even Chinese) makes for a really horrible reading experience. Even I realised that much. 😀

But anyway, sex is a dialogue. Some look down on smut content, but the challenge to give it complexity and richness to words and prose while keeping the reader engaged in the act is not easy. Even if you’re just the translator. Or maybe, because you’re the translator, the burden’s heavier. I don’t know…

Another update of “I bought a Crown Prince because he was being sold at the slave market.” This time, the perspective of the story changes, and you can read the story for the first time from the perspective of the male lead. The translation’s moving along nicely and it’s pretty much done at this point, so you can read this with confidence because I will definitely update this until the end.
