Release #12 2020
How is it going, everyone? The world has gotten that bit crazier since my last post, huh? Remember to keep an active social distance and practice good personal hygiene even if you’re not affected or in a lockdown.
Another thing though, why toilet paper? Why do people panic buy so much toilet paper? I mean besides those that have the intention to profit off the suffering of others… WHY? How much do you plan to eat to shit that much to warrant you buying so much toilet paper? I can’t wrap my head around it, honestly. Our hands, on a daily basis, touched worse stuff than our own butthole/own shit. Just buy what you need and leave some for others that really need it. (And nope, I have enough toilet paper, 14 ROLLS, that’s going to last me a while!) Worse come to worse, just wash your butt and wipe with a designated butty towel. I don’t know what else to call it… You can just throw it into the washer to wash… it’s not that a big deal, honestly… The same goes for stuff like baby formulas, masks, sanitisers…don’t panic buy them…
Well, preachy stuff aside, stay safe and let’s work together to get through this global pandemic… I would like my life to return to normal as soon as possible and for all my loved ones to be safe from this virus. I’m sure you do too.
Thanks to the virus though, it means a lot of people are currently stuck at home. And for scanlation, it’s a boom. ‘Cause suddenly, for a lot of us, IRL is on hold. I missed my gang! My hand missed my gang! Welcome back! I did toooo much in February, I wasn’t sure if I was able to do anything in terms of redraw and typeset for a while, to be honest. It’s still that sore, it’s so sore and painful I couldn’t do a single page without taking a long break… I end up buying an ergonomic mouse and am waiting for it to arrive. I have tried all sort of stuff to alleviate the pain:- wrist rest, proper posture, make my workstation more ergonomic, computer arm rest, elevated my laptop so that it’s in my eye view…. Short of really going for that surgery, I have tried.
But well, with the return of Chiasa, Velo and Bagan, hopefully, I can get a lot of stuff done during this terrible period. Fingers crossed.
So, while I wait for the stuff that I have assigned for them to return, let’s give you something that I can still do by myself. Today, I’ve got four more chapters of my polar bear manga essay, “Yasashii Shirokuma.” It’s not massive chapters, but something for you to retrospect about, I hope.
