Release #10 2020
It’s time again for another release post! But before I get to that, I want to let anyone reading this to know;
I’m currently seeking a SHORT-TERM editor/redrawer for several mangas that I wanted to finish or catch up some. Refer to this recruitment thing I haphazardly threw together and contact me (email@example.com) for more info!
50cm no Isshou
I have plenty to say in this release, but I don’t know how to
do it without spoiling it. I have finished translating the first volume, but
chapter 4 is still in redraw phase, HUGE SHOUTOUT to Punlad for helping me to
redraw the nightmare pages I couldn’t do in chapter 4.
So, while we wait for Punlad to finish the redraw for chapter 4, I’m releasing chapter 2 and 3 first…
I really do want to do all four chapters together, cause then you can get a better picture overall, but I’m never patient when it comes to releases, so here we are…
When I first read the first volume last year, I cried so hard at the end of volume one (yup, major spoiler here…it’s SUPER SAD). That moved me to want to translate it… (it’s not just about the cats) Now, many months down the road after the first chapter, (sorry!) I cried so hard again while translating the remaining chapters of Volume One… I went to read the ending afterwards, and I cried so, so, so, so, so hard again…. we’ll be going through a roller coaster for sure…
When I was editing this manga, I cried again because once again, I was reminded of how sad it is… I also cried because the redraws are so painful… I had to draw a few cats, an ambulance… I was so worried I had to draw the bullet train and the train station, but THANK GOD, Punlad is doing it instead of me…huhuhu
When I was typesetting this manga, I cried again because I can’t escape the words and I have to make sure the emotions appear in the types used to properly convey them… aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh…….
This manga is my blood, sweat, and tears (the tears literally…)
The dialogues, the scenes, and the events that happened in these five chapters of the first volume are all related in some way or a reference. Gosh, I really don’t know how to continue without spoiling it majorly… A death here reminds our MC the cat of another… I hurt so much when he was asking Machi where the truck is taking their friend… (in the later chapter, you will understand why)
I really wanted to hug my cats (but they are far away at home) when translating this manga… and now, I feel so sad when I look at stray cats… What’s the story behind each of them? Were they abandoned? Did they lose a brother or sister? Are they eating well? I overthink… I really do…
When I post Chapter 4 and 5 in the next release post, please re-read again, I think it’s necessary for you to get the whole picture. Maybe I can ramble about 2 & 3 then without worrying about spoilers…hahaha
Ending with a super oldie, but it really sums up how this first volume is…
